EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOD TENDER NO.PA/137/HQ-LVIP/2020-21/C/02 FOR PROVISION
OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR REVIEW FEASIBILITY STUDY, DETAIL DESIGN, COST ESTIMATES
AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION OF LUICHE VALLEY IRRIGATION PROJECT
1.. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has
received financing from Development Partners toward the cost of the Luiche
Valley Irrigation Project (LVIP) intended to apply part of the proceeds for
consultant services. The services include; to Review Feasibility Studies,
Detail Design, Cost Estimates and Supervise the Construction of Luiche Valley
Irrigation Scheme, Review Topographic Survey and Farm layout including Canals
(Main and Secondary) routing verification, Farm Roads location and Block
design, review detail design of Dam, Irrigation Infrastructure, farm
structures, access and farm Roads and Drainage systems as well as flood
protection Dyke, review Geotechnical Investigation and Seismology test and
simulation specifically in dam’s parameters used in design, review of financial
and economic viability and Hydro Geological (including hydrology/water balance,
review Dam safety, Risk analysis and Sedimentation Control and Construction
Supervision.
2. The National Irrigation Commission now invites eligible
consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above services.
Interested consultants must provide information indicating that, they are qualified
to perform the services. The short-listing criteria are: submission of firms’
profile, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions,
availability of appropriate skills among staff. Consultants may associate to
enhance their qualifications. Only local firms will be eligible to express their
interest for this service.
3. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with
procedures set out by the Development Financing Institutions, members of the
Coordination Group comprising Islamic Development Bank, Abu Dhabi Fund for
Development, the OPEC Fund for International Development, the Saudi Fund for
Development, Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Kuwait Fund for
Arab Economic Development, and Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa,
hereinafter referred to individually as the Fund” and collectively as “the
Funds”, concerning the use of consultants. First Edition 1995.
4. Consultant will be selected in accordance with the
Consultants’ Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the
Consultant Guidelines.
5. Interested consultants may obtain further information at
the address below during office hours from 8:00 to 15:30 hours, Monday to
Fridays inclusive, except on public holidays.
6. Expressions of interest in a sealed envelope clearly
marked Tender No. PA/137/HQ-LVIP/C/02 for Provision of Consultancy Services for
Review Feasibility Study, Detail Design, Cost Estimates and Construction
Supervision of Luiche Valley Irrigation Project” must be delivered to the
address below by 17th June, 2021 at 11.30am hours.
